A Business Trip to Scottsdale

How to spend 48 Hours in Scottsdale, AZ

To be clear, I wasn’t actually doing business in Scottsdale AZ, but when the hubs offers to take me along on a business trip I rarely say no.  When it’s a business trip that involves staying at a super nice spa and resort I say yes fast.

The Westin Kierland Scottsdale did not disappoint.  When walking into the lobby the view of the golf course appears to be a painted backdrop.  It is surrounded by water features and plants that are so lush they look unreal.

There are a couple of pools, one is for adults only and one for families.  Cabanas and cabana boys surround the pools and the service is impeccable.

The evenings included a nightly bagpipe performance.

While I spent the majority of my time laying by the pool in Scottsdale, we did venture out to a few shops and restaurants that were within walking distance.  The Kierland Commons had plenty of choices for shopping and dining.   We enjoyed dinner at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Mastro’s Ocean Club and drinks at the Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar.  The shopping center was beautiful to walk around and the Restoration Hardware was like a villa on the corner.  The weather was perfect for a mini vacation and rejuvenation.
